25 April 2008:
Today is Anzac Day, the day which commemorates the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps in Turkey in World War I. The battles in Turkey claimed the lives of over 10000 Australian and New Zealand soldiers. Nowadays the 25th of April is a public holiday, probably the only public holiday on which Aussies don't have a barby and get drunk but attend memorial services throughout the country.
